Highland Springs Springers (Highland Springs, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Henrico Warriors (Richmond, VA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Springers (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA). The Mustangs come into the Capital challenge with a 12-2 record. In their last challenge, Mechanicsville was beaten by Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Warriors meet the J.R. Tucker Tigers (Henrico, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 13. Henrico will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA).
