Louisiana High School Football - St. Augustine sneaks past Holy Cross
November 1, 2024: New Orleans, LA 70117 The St. Augustine Purple Knights football squad scored 18 points and limited the host Holy Cross Tigers to 13 in the Purple Knights league triumph on Friday.
The Purple Knights now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host John Curtis Christian for a 5A District 9 test on Thursday, November 7. St. Augustine will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 35-14 league loss to Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA). The Patriots record now stands at 4-4.
The Tigers (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA). The Crusaders enter the 5A District 9 challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Brother Martin held off Warren Easton (New Orleans, LA), 45-42, in a league challenge.
