Mississippi High School Basketball - Loyd Star fells Wesson

November 9, 2021: Wesson, MS 39191

Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS), 57-47 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Loyd Star improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to St. Andrew's Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS) to confront the Saints in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 11. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. St. Andrew's Episcopal lost 42-23 in their recent non-league challenge against Morton (Morton, MS)

Next up, the Cobras confront the Bogue Chitto Bobcats (Bogue Chitto, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 12. Wesson will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record.
