Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS) and the host Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS), saw Wesson's basketball squad overcome Loyd Star by a tally of 52-42.

With the victory, Wesson improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Cobras host Salem (Tylertown, MS) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 16. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 0-8. Salem lost 48-15 in their recent non-league challenge against West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS)

Next up, the Hornets confront the Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 16. Loyd Star will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 39-32 non-league loss to Franklin County (Meadville, MS).
