Kentucky High School Football - Hancock County thwarted by Grayson County
November 1, 2024: Leitchfield, KY 42754 Grayson County Cougars (Leitchfield, KY) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Hancock County Hornets (Lewisport, KY), 31-13 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Grayson County improves its record to 9-2 on the season. The Cougars host Iroquois (Louisville, KY) to play the Raiders in a non-league battle on Friday, November 8. The Raiders go into the battle with a record of 2-8. Iroquois lost 30-0 in their recent non-league battle against Thomas Nelson (Bardstown, KY)
The Hornets now have a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Franklin-Simpson for a non-league battle on Friday, November 8. Hancock County will play a Wildcats team coming off a 50-27 non-league loss to Warren East (Bowling Green, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-5.
