New Mexico High School Volleyball - Los Alamos Artesia
November 10, 2022: Los Alamos, NM 87544 The Artesia Bulldogs volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Los Alamos Hilltoppers to 1 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Thursday.
The Bulldogs now possess a 17-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Pius X for a non-league game on Friday, November 11. Artesia will meet a Sartans team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Aztec (Aztec, NM). The Sartans record now stands at 19-5.
The Hilltoppers (19-7) will now prepare for their game against Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Desert Warriors enter the non-league game with a 10-12 record. In their last game, Santa Teresa defeated Deming (Deming, NM), 3-0, in a league game.
Match Summary
The Toppers came in ready to win and rest; however, the Bulldogs had other ideas. LA had a couple to many errors to overcome a strong Artesia team. 5 service errors, 12 hitting errors, 10 blocking errors and 9 receive errors led to the 1-3 match loss. Callie Goda was able to shine with 10 kills and 5 blocks. The Junior setter Angelina Passalacqua added with 7 blocks of her own and 7 points off serve. Next up an elimination match at 8 p.m. vs. Santa Teresa.
