Texas High School Basketball - Ponder tops Denison
November 11, 2023: Denison, TX 75020 Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Denison Yellow Jackets (Denison, TX), 47-37 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Ponder upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Bowie (Bowie, TX) to play the Jackrabbits in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 14. The Jackrabbits come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Bowie won 44-30 in their recent non-league bout against Peaster (Peaster, TX)
Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Pottsboro Cardinals (Pottsboro, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 14. Denison will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 51-33 non-league loss to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, TX).
