The Mount Vernon Tigers basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Paris Wildcats to 44 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kemp for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 15. Mount Vernon will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 67-31 non-league loss to Grace Community (Tyler, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-1.

The Wildcats (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Van Alstyne (Van Alstyne, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Van Alstyne nudged Heritage (Frisco, TX), 46-36, in a non-league contest.
