Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Selma Bears (Selma, CA) and the host Torres Toros (Madera, CA), saw Selma's basketball squad hold off Torres by a tally of 40-38.

With the victory, Selma improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Corcoran (Corcoran, CA) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 16. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Toros play the Firebaugh Eagles (Firebaugh, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 14. Torres will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
