Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting King's Academy Knights (Tyler, TX), 51-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Union Grove upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lions host Overton (Overton, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Monday, November 20. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Knights play the Trinity Christian Academy Warriors (Paris, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 17. King's Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 64-38 non-league win over Ector (Ector, TX).
