Evant Elks (Evant, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Morgan Eagles (Morgan, TX), 45-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Evant upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Elks host Jonesboro (Jonesboro, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 21. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Eagles play the Bruceville-Eddy Eagles (Eddy, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 17. Morgan will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 1-2 record after their 46-37 non-league loss to C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX).
