Texas High School Basketball - Sherman holds off Denton
November 14, 2024: Denton, TX 76201 The Sherman Bearcats basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Denton Broncos to 51 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Bearcats now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Paris for a non-league game on Tuesday, November 19. Sherman will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 74-49 non-league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Denton falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Broncos host Braswell (Little Elm, TX) to confront the Bengals in a non-league game on Tuesday, November 19. The Bengals go into the game with a record of 3-0. Braswell won 85-34 in their recent non-league game against Monterey (Lubbock, TX)
