In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Taft Raiders basketball team scored a good 60-50 triumph over the Highlands Owls.

The Raiders (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Jourdanton (Jourdanton, TX). The Indians/Squaws go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Jourdanton topped Marion (Marion, TX), 70-22, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Owls confront the Marshall Rams (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, November 15. Highlands will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Rams go into the contest with a 6-3 record after their 50-32 non-league loss to United (Laredo, TX).
