The Chatham Central Bears toppled the visiting Ascend Leadership Aviators basketball team by a tally of 37-22 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Bears now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Central Carolina Academy for a non-league bout on Thursday, November 20. Chatham Central will play a Eagles team coming off a 47-3 non-league loss to Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Ascend Leadership falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Aviators host Hoke County (Raeford, NC) to play the Bucks in a non-league bout on Monday, November 17. The Bucks go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
