In Friday's non-league contest, the host Wasilla Warriors ice hockey team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Houston Hawks.

The Warriors (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK). The Malemutes go into the Railbelt contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Lathrop was nipped by West Valley (Fairbanks, AK), 7-1, in a non-league contest.
