In Friday's non-league outing, the Mountain Island Charter Raptor (Mt. Holly, NC) basketball squad edged the host Valor Preparatory Academy Owls (Concord, NC), by a margin of 66-64.

The Raptor (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 5-0 record. In their last outing, Uwharrie Charter held off Salem Baptist Christian (Winston-Salem, NC), 89-25, in a non-league outing.

The Owls now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Norman Christian for a non-league outing on Monday, November 20. Valor Preparatory Academy will clash with a Storm squad coming off a 66-23 non-league loss to Olympic (Charlotte, NC). The Storm record now stands at 1-2.
