Mountain Island Charter Raptor (Mt. Holly, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Valor Preparatory Academy Owls (Concord, NC), 61-11 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mountain Island Charter upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Raptor travel to Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Uwharrie Charter lost 56-28 in their recent non-league bout against East Rowan (Salisbury, NC)

Next up, the Owls clash with the Mountain Island Charter Raptor (Mt. Holly, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Valor Preparatory Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
