November 18, 2023: Rio Grande City, TX 78582 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Grulla Gators (Rio Grande City, TX) and the visiting Lyford Bulldogs (Lyford, TX), saw Grulla's basketball squad hold off Lyford by a tally of 49-42.
With the victory, Grulla improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Gators host San Perlita (San Perlita, TX) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 28. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 4-0.
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the IDEA Quest College Prep Trailblazers (Edinburg, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 21. Lyford will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Trailblazers come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 61-30 non-league win over IDEA Weslaco Pike (Weslaco, TX).
