In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host West Point Green Wave basketball team scored a close 51-44 win over the Shannon Red Raiders.

The Green Wave (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS). The Braves come into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Tishomingo County edged Belmont (Belmont, MS), 52-45, in a non-league match.

The Red Raiders now own a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Union for a non-league match on Thursday, November 20. Shannon will face a Eagles squad coming off a 78-39 non-league win over East Union (Blue Springs, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 5-0.
