The Shannon Red Raiders basketball squad (Shannon, MS), was crushed 63-37 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS)

With the victory, Pontotoc betters its record to 1-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 11. The Jaguars enter the match with a record of 1-0. DeSoto Central won 53-52 in their recent non-league match against Olive Branch (Olive Branch, MS)

The Red Raiders now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Pontotoc for a non-league match on Tuesday, November 11. Shannon will face a Cougars squad coming off a 47-31 non-league loss to West Union (Myrtle, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 0-3.
