Texas High School Basketball - Spurger knocks off Hemphill
November 18, 2025: Hemphill, TX 75948 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Spurger Pirates basketball team scored a good 34-22 win over the Hemphill Hornets.
The Pirates (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Good Samaritan HomeSchool (Fred, TX). The Hornets enter the non-league match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Good Samaritan HomeSchool thwarted Colmesneil (Colmesneil, TX), 33-21, in a non-league match.
The Hornets now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Zavalla for a non-league match on Friday, November 21. Hemphill will face a Eagles squad coming off a 71-35 non-league win over Newton (Newton, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 5-1.
