Illinois High School Basketball - Monmouth-Roseville tops Abingdon/Avon
November 20, 2021: Abingdon, IL 61410 Monmouth-Roseville Titans (Monmouth, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL), 46-31 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Monmouth-Roseville upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Riverdale (Port Byron, IL) to play the Rams in a Three Rivers - West bout on Monday, November 29. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Riverdale lost 58-43 in their recent non-league bout against Manual (Peoria, IL)
Next up, the Tornadoes play the Annawan Braves (Annawan, IL) in a Lincoln Trail bout, on Wednesday, December 1. Abingdon/Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Braves come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 67-25 non-league win over St. Bede (Peru, IL).
