The Miller Buccaneers basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Mercedes Tigers to 50 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Veterans Memorial for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 21.

The Tigers (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Corpus Christi Moody (Corpus Christi, TX). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Corpus Christi Moody nudged Orange Grove (Orange Grove, TX), 57-37, in a non-league contest.
