Arkansas High School Basketball - Manila nips Westside
November 20, 2023: Manila, AR 72442 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Manila Lions (Manila, AR) and the visiting Westside Warriors (Jonesboro, AR), saw Manila's basketball squad hold off Westside by a tally of 52-50.
With the victory, Manila improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Blytheville (Blytheville, AR) to play the Chickasaws in a non-league challenge on Monday, November 27. The Chickasaws come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Blytheville lost 54-34 in their recent non-league challenge against East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR)
Next up, the Warriors play the Batesville Pioneers (Batesville, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 21. Westside will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 80-48 non-league loss to Mountain Home (Mountain Home, AR).
