The Ponce De Leon Pirates nipped the visiting Poplar Springs Atomics basketball squad by a final score of 55-50 in Thursday's league outing.

Next, the Pirates face the Central Jaguars (Milton, FL) in a non-league outing, on Friday, November 21. Ponce De Leon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Jaguars enter the outing with a 1-1 record after their 64-58 league loss to Laurel Hill (Laurel Hill, FL).

With the loss, Poplar Springs falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Atomics host Zion Chapel (Jack, AL) to confront the Rebels in a non-league game on Friday, November 21.
