In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Alief Hastings Bears basketball team scored a close 42-38 triumph over the Willis Wildkats.

The Bears (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against La Porte (La Porte, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, La Porte nipped Clear Lake (Houston, TX), 44-30, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildkats battle the Morton Ranch Mavericks (Katy, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, November 21. Willis will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Mavericks go into the contest with a 2-6 record after their 50-30 non-league loss to North Shore (Houston, TX).
