November 20, 2025: Lafayette, LA 70508 New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host Comeaux Spartans (Lafayette, LA), 1-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, New Iberia moves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Beau Chene (Arnaudville, LA) to clash with the Gators in a non-league test on Tuesday, December 2. The Gators come into the test with a record of 1-0.
The Spartans now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host North Vermilion for a Division III District 3 test on Tuesday, December 2. Comeaux will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lafayette (Lafayette, LA). The Patriots record now stands at 0-1.
