Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Pacific Ridge Firebird (Carlsbad, CA), 46-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grossmont upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Foothillers travel to Christian (El Cajon, CA) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 22. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Christian lost 60-49 in their recent non-league bout against Orange Glen (Escondido, CA)

Next up, the Firebird play the Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 22. Pacific Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 68-54 non-league win over Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA).
