California High School Basketball - Pacific Ridge can't hold off Valley Center

The Pacific Ridge Firebird basketball team (Carlsbad, CA), was nudged 54-52 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Valley Center Jaguars (Valley Center, CA)

The Jaguars now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Army-Navy for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 3. Valley Center will battle a Warriors team coming off a 55-40 non-league loss to San Dieguito Academy (Encinitas, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.

The Firebird (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA). The Longhorns come into the non-league battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, Rancho Buena Vista edged Tri-City Christian (Vista, CA), 80-44, in a non-league battle.
