Texas High School Basketball - Katy Taylor can't hold off Fort Bend Austin
November 21, 2023: Sugar Land, TX 77478 The Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Katy Taylor Mustangs to 44 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Bend Elkins for a 6A Region III District 20 contest on Tuesday, November 28. Fort Bend Austin will battle a Knights team coming off a 61-58 non-league loss to Summer Creek (Houston, TX). The Knights record now stands at 3-7.
The Mustangs (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Jersey Village (Houston, TX). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Jersey Village was nudged by Cypress Park (Cypress, TX), 65-44, in a non-league contest.
