Dekaney Wildcats (Houston, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs (Sugar Land, TX), 61-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dekaney upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Wildcats host Klein Oak (Spring, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 13. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Klein Oak won 62-37 in their recent non-league bout against Spring Woods (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Fort Bend Travis Tigers (Richmond, TX) in a 6A Region III District 20 bout, on Monday, December 11. Fort Bend Austin will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 48-47 league loss to Fort Bend Clements (Sugar Land, TX).
