In Thursday's non-league contest, the host West Charlotte Lions basketball team scored a close 56-49 win over the Palisades Pumas.

The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Norman Christian (Davidson, NC). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 5-1 record.

The Pumas now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Mecklenburg for a non-league battle on Tuesday, November 26. Palisades will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 89-49 non-league loss to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 0-3.
