November 21, 2024: Sumrall, MS 39482 The Sumrall Bobcats soccer squad scored 7 points and held the visiting Laurel Golden Tornadoes to 0 in the Bobcats non-league victory on Thursday.
The Bobcats now hold a 2-0 record. They play next when they host New Albany for a non-league bout on Saturday, November 23. Sumrall will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Laurel moves to 8-4 on the year. The Golden tornadoes host Gautier (Gautier, MS) to encounter the Gators in a 5A Region 4 bout on Tuesday, December 3. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Gautier won 1-0 in their recent non-league bout against Resurrection Catholic (Pascagoula, MS)
