In Friday's non-league contest, the host West Iredell Warriors basketball team scored a close 57-55 win over the Wilkes Central Eagles.

The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 3-0 record.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) in a non-league match, on Monday, November 24. Wilkes Central will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record.
