In Friday's non-league contest, the host Fairmont Golden Tornadoes basketball team scored a close 59-53 triumph over the Lumberton Pirates.

The Golden Tornadoes (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Pirates confront the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, November 26. Lumberton will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Screaming Eagle go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 77-45 non-league loss to White Oak (Jacksonville, NC).
