In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Mid-Pacific Institute Owls basketball team scored a close 60-56 triumph over the Lahainaluna Lunas.

The Owls (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Roosevelt (Honolulu, HI). The Rough Riders go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Lunas battle the Maui Sabers (Kahului, HI) in a Maui I contest, on Friday, December 6. Lahainaluna will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
