Texas High School Basketball - Saltillo can't hold off Huckabay
November 22, 2025: Saltillo, TX 75478 Huckabay Indians (Stephenville, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Saltillo Lions (Saltillo, TX), 51-47 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Huckabay upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Hico (Hico, TX) to face the Tigers in a non-league outing on Monday, November 24. The Tigers enter the outing with a record of 4-3. Hico lost 68-66 in their recent non-league outing against San Saba (San Saba, TX)
The Lions (7-2) will now prepare for their outing against Quitman (Quitman, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league outing with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, Quitman got by West Rusk (New London, TX), 34-19, in a non-league outing.
