The Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles basketball team scored 88 points and held the visiting Taft Raiders to 87 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Eagles now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harlan for a non-league contest on Monday, November 28.

The Raiders (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Churchill (San Antonio, TX). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Churchill nudged Holmes (San Antonio, TX), 53-51, in a non-league contest.
