Texas High School Basketball - Sotomayor knocked off by Taft

January 3, 2023: San Antonio, TX 78253

The Taft Raiders basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Sotomayor Wildcats to 60 in the Raiders league triumph on Tuesday.

The Raiders now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holmes for a 6A Region IV District 29 contest on Friday, January 6. Taft will meet a Huskies team coming off a 82-74 league win over Harlan (San Antonio, TX). The Huskies record now stands at 11-9.

The Wildcats (5-17) will now prepare for their contest against Brennan (San Antonio, TX). The Bears enter the 6A Region IV District 29 contest with a 17-6 record. In their last contest, Brennan ran past Stevens (San Antonio, TX), 76-63, in a league contest.
