Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Stevens Falcons (San Antonio, TX), 49-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Taft upgrades its record to 17-12 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Sotomayor (San Antonio, TX) to play the WILDCATS in a 6A Region IV District 29 bout on Saturday, February 4. The WILDCATS come into the bout with a record of 5-24. Sotomayor lost 70-61 in their recent league bout against Harlan (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Falcons play the Brennan Bears (San Antonio, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 29 bout, on Saturday, February 4. Stevens will attempt to upgrade on its 18-11 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 23-7 record after their 76-70 league loss to Warren (San Antonio, TX).
