In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Elgin Comets basketball team scored a tight 58-51 triumph over the Northmor Golden Knights.

In their next game, the Comets meet the Pleasant Spartans (Marion, OH) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, November 29. Elgin will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 49-46 non-league loss to Fairbanks (Milford Center, OH).
