Ohio High School Basketball - Elgin crushes Mt. Gilead
February 7, 2023: Marion, OH 43302 Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mt. Gilead Indians (Mt. Gilead, OH), 71-43 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Elgin upgrades its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Temple Christian (Lima, OH) to play the Pioneers in a Northwest Central bout on Friday, February 10. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 9-10. Temple Christian won 59-50 in their recent non-league bout against McComb (McComb, OH)
Next up, the Indians play the Lucas Cubs (Lucas, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 10. Mt. Gilead will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Cubs come into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 60-57 non-league loss to Willard (Willard, OH).
