In Monday's non-league outing, the Utica Redskins (Utica, OH) basketball squad edged the host Elgin Comets (Marion, OH), by a count of 50-43.

The Redskins (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Worthington Christian (Worthington, OH). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 6-2 record. In their last outing, Worthington Christian held off Centerburg (Centerburg, OH), 68-48, in a non-league outing.
