Illinois High School Basketball - Springfield fells Metamora
November 24, 2023: Metamora, IL 61548 Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL), 61-46 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Springfield upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Senators host Rochester (Rochester, IL) to play the Rockets in a Central State Eight bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Rochester lost 47-44 in their recent non-league bout against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL)
Next up, the Redbirds play the Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 28. Metamora will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Purple Raiders go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 36-27 non-league win over Normal University (Normal, IL).
