Mississippi High School Basketball - Loyd Star can't get by Mize
November 25, 2024: Brookhaven, MS 39601 Mize Bulldogs (Mize, MS) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS), 44-37 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Mize advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS) to meet the Yellowjackets in a non-league match on Tuesday, November 26. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a record of 4-2. Enterprise won 39-15 in their recent non-league match against Amite County (Liberty, MS)
The Hornets now own a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salem for a non-league match on Thursday, December 5. Loyd Star will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 55-24 non-league loss to West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-4.
