North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashbrook holds off Bessemer City

November 25, 2025: Gastonia, NC 28054

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Ashbrook Greenwave basketball team scored a close 37-32 triumph over the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets.

The Greenwave (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against East Lincoln (Denver, NC). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.

The Yellow Jackets now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincolnton for a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A match on Tuesday, December 2. Bessemer City will face a Wolves squad coming off a 73-36 non-league loss to Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 1-1.
