Ohio High School Basketball - Black River nudges Mapleton
November 26, 2022: Sullivan, OH 44880 Black River Pirates (Sullivan, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH), 92-89 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Black River upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Pirates travel to St. Peter's (Mansfield, OH) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 29. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 0-2. St. Peter's lost 52-43 in their recent non-league bout against Western Reserve (Collins, OH)
Next up, the Mounties clash with the Open Door Christian Patriots (Elyria, OH) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 5. Mapleton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
