In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Richwoods Knights basketball team scored a close 43-40 triumph over the Thornton Wildcats.

The Knights (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Chicago Marshall (Chicago, IL). The Commandos go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Chicago Marshall nipped Lutheran (Rockford, IL), 70-53, in a non-league contest.
