The Kankakee Kays basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Thornton Wildcats to 43 in the Kays league triumph on Friday.

The Kays now possess a 16-3 record. They play next when they travel to Antioch for a non-league game on Sunday, January 26. Kankakee will confront a Sequoits team coming off a 71-38 league win over Round Lake (Round Lake, IL). The Sequoits record now stands at 8-10.

With the loss, Thornton falls to 6-13 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Thornridge (Dolton, IL) to confront the Falcons in a Southland game on Tuesday, January 28. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 4-14. Thornridge lost 57-50 in their recent league game against Crete-Monee (Crete, IL)
