In Friday's league test, the Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL) basketball squad got by the visiting Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL), by a score of 48-44.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 11. Thornton will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 14-2 record after their 91-31 league win over Sandburg (Orland Park, IL).
